Dr Jayani is a general practitioner with over nine years of experience in Australian general practice. She completed her primary medical degree (MBBS) at the University of Sri Jayewardenepura, Sri Lanka, and is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP).

She has had extensive training in general medicine, gynaecology, obstetrics, emergency medicine and skin cancer.
